Money Tree Discussion

Counter argument by ChangelingRain on why this is closed
Botany already has a way to make cargo points which is by exporting seeds (which is pretty damm low compared to like science or mining)

I think botany was meant to provide raw material for the chef.

However hunger not having an impact in rounds has led to nuclear crafting of validhunting weapons and kudzu.

Just increase the seed export prize to be quite honest.

Does botany really need more ways to unbalance the game? They already ruin more rounds than toxins researchers do.

IIRC you need to plan them in the shining spot and use a golden shovel or they wither

Need more selling lavish meals, grown by botany, made by the cook, in barrels, grown by botany, made by slave lavaland natives assistants or cargo techies, via cargo so we can be Space Fortress 13.
That's a better idea. More complex foods have high values. Reduce/remove the value from anything raw out of botany. Botany needs the chef to make stuff to generate points, Chef needs botany to grow stuff because all the valuable meals are gated behind botany's plants.

How about making chems have a cost to export based per single unit, so you can makes money in botany via selling healing chems, or hard, hard drugs.

plus as a side effect it means chemistry can export beakers of mixed chems or pills as well.

been mentioning this whenever botany changes come up, gaia basically removes the whole point of upgrading hydroponic's trays, leave them as a healing chem producer, get rid of the damn auto-caretaking.

fully upgraded trays have 300 water and 50 fertilizer, more than enough to fill once and never have to worry about until round end.

I made a nerf of ambrosia & cannabis here as some of you may be aware.

> Reverts ambrosia & cannabis into contraband (importable by crate) replaces with pretty flowers & removes them from the seed vendor #27140

If you think its enough to tackle this head on with removal of gaia, im in agreement with you on the matter but i thought i would open up the avenue of discussion by shuffling the deck rather than changing the card suit calling for removal outright.

Removal of the money tree solely sits on your own responsibility for abusing & pushing its limits Ma44. It will likely never have the same function & strength ever again afterwards even with a complete rework. That is as much as ill say.

This is only because ma44 crept up the exportation price.

> Really ditch this philosophy that money can solve the stations problems Ma44 and find inner peace or another coding task, its kind of grating.
