1200 is for the founders edition from nvidia, not any other brand. $1,000 is MSRP from NVIDIA for retailers.

Keep in mind these are STOCK/release cards. These are prices that aren't even counting the overclocking EVGA typically does later one. You're talking probably near $1,400 for the All-In-One cooler EVGA typically released a month or two down the road and $1,600 for KINGPIN that eventually gets released later on. Also the "clear." plastic housing on these is fucking ugly aesthetically. I'm not sure what EVGA is thinking.

So I'm certain it's NVIDIA's suggested MSRP, but I'm thinking that's not a reality. Still that being said. I'm not sold on buying a 2080 ti for 1,000.

What are they going to charge for Titans now. $1,500?

You're okay with paying $1,000+ for a card that was PREVIOUSLY sold @ $600-700 on release and NEVER dropped in price. You're an asshole. No matter how you cut it. NVIDIA is gouging customers.

780 ti, 980 ti, 1080 ti, were always $550-$700.

$300 price increase for a 25% performance increase is bullshit. No matter how you try to cut it.

Nope, all Nvidia has shown is some vague numbers and their light ray gimmick, unlike when they touted benchmark numbers for pascal.

According to /g/ and leddit this new gen is filler until the 7nm dye comes out in 2 years so it's a waste of money, and the time to cop a pascal series card is now through next month as people/retailers dump theirs. They will probably stabilize after this coming month though.

Going based off of the 2070 leak the 2080 will be around 20-30% higher performance wise than the 1080ti. Pre-ordered one of those just in case. When the benchmarks come out on the 15th, if it's shit, I can cancel!
