Its not like you completely missed the point I was trying to put across, that dirt on the RNC and DNC is out there and only the dirty on the DNC was released.
I also remember saying that the US interfering in other elections wasn't a bad thing.
Oh wait.
I didn't.
Maybe I'm mistaken.
Please, quote me on those things.

Even though most of my beliefs are left-leaning, I'm glad that the mainstream left got the kick in the balls that was 2016. They had abandoned economic and scientific issues altogether in favor of bullshit identity politics. It needed to burn.

Quoting the wsj and RNC statements, apparently both dnc and rnc were hit by the same phishing emails. Only the dnc was dumb and incompetent enough to fall for them, with the rnc only having one instance of outdated emails being leaked. Looks like russia don't even have the dirty info on the rnc that you desperately claim they must have :^)))

It always seemed to me that all the "dirt" on the DNC was just your everyday, run-of-the-mill political slime which is kinda expected from any party around the world. Backstabbing, planning and general sleaziness, you know it is there but you don't want to see it, just like they say you shouldn't watch how your food is made. Let's take the Sanders issue for examble, well duh, Bernie was a terrible candidate, of course the DNC made everything in their power to prevent him from winning the primaries (not that he had much of a chance in the first place but whatever). They were morons for falling for basic phishing techniques but the way americans acted with all the outrage at what is just regular behind-the-scenes politics is dumbfounding to me. It's like they've always lived in a fairy world. And those who unironically say "AH, see the democrats are EVIL, no way republicans (in bed with the military-industrial complex since time immemorial) or Trump (a ruthless entrepeneur who chewed and clawed his way to the top) ever did anything of the sort!" amaze me the most.

Re: 2k17 /pol/
Grazyn has got a point. Compared to most American politicians, Hillary isn't really the devil she's put out to be. Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, and Martin O' Malley (He fucking "lost" a billion dollars that was supposed to be used to make Maryland more accessible for the disabled) have all done some pretty terrible shit. If I looked hard enough, I could probably find some terrible things 90% of congress has done. She's about as corrupt as every other politician. I'm not saying this should be shrugged off, I'm saying we shouldn't be pointing all fingers at one single example while all the other politicians are pulling shit. Including the president we just elected.Cik wrote:>regular political slimeGrazyn wrote:It always seemed to me that all the "dirt" on the DNC was just your everyday, run-of-the-mill political slime which is kinda expected from any party around the world. We should be marching on the DNC until we weed all of the corruption out for the next election, so they can put forward a good candidate. We should be lobbying in the Capital, the fair way, for issues we believe in, instead of skirting the law and giving them valuables. We should be voting in new congressmen and senators instead of voting in the same corrupt slimeballs because you're too afraid to vote in someone new and different.

The same can be said for Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Martin O'Malley etc. They are so blatantly crooked its not even funny. I'm not seeing any crazy pizzagate conspiracy about those chucklefucks. I'm starting to think that Hillary got a lot more hate than the average corrupt politician, not because of her behind closed door deals, but because the alt-left was trying to brute force her presidency during the entire election. All that namecalling, hipster screeching and other SJW bullshit followed her campaign wherever it went. If your supporters act like that, that is what people will assume you represent. It makes sense. Just the sound of it, a corrupt alt-left candidate is going to get a lot more hate than the average corrupt presidential candidate.XSI wrote:One big reason why people are focusing on Hillary is because she doesn't even care about hiding it

Its like being endorsed by the KKK or a bunch of Neo-Nazis.

That way they hide it from the law and through technicalities, but to anyone paying attention it will be seen as them not actually hiding the acts, and rather just wording it in a way that it is technically not illegal so they get off.
That is exactly why people LOVE the idea of them getting slammed and put in jail, because it's someone playing the system through semantics, a classic 'bad guy' who deserves punishment but avoids it, and people love seeing the 'bad guy' get what's coming.
And that is also why Hillary was the target above all the republicans. The republicans are bad at it too, but their acts aren't as widely known, and their corruption tends to be blamed on the corporations bribing them(Oh, sorry, 'gifting' them loads of cash, since 'money is free speech' to them). Which in turn means that there's less people caring about the individual. The system is fucked, but with Hillary there is clearly an individual doing things that are clearly bad, while with republicans it tends to be more along the lines of 'big business' doing grey area stuff that they very likely just shouldn't be allowed to.

No amount of defending the DNC will change the fact that they've been completely and utterly stumped. They put it all on Hillary and she completely lost, and now they're bankrupt.
I predict one of three things will happen. The Democrats will die, the Democrats will go through a huge metamorphosis and come out as something new, or the Democrats will stay exactly the same and keep losing.

Additionally, trump is still as odds with republican leadership on a number of issues (most notably social security, Medicare, and LBGTQALMNOGOLDFISH+ issues), which could limit his powers significantly.

I'm looking forward to the inauguration, since it will probably be a garbage fire in it's own right. IIRC the Trump team is having trouble finding people who want to preform. Plus there's still time for prominent politicians to boycott it, I'd mention that boycotting the inauguration would be unprecedented but this entire election is unprecedented so

Trump does not actually have any official power yet
But he did bring back some jobs through negotiations already, though that was mostly just making it so that those jobs didn't end up leaving in the first place. Clearly he can already do things even without everything being official
Stock markets will always go up and down, that's just how they work. It is impossible for them to go up all the time, and policy on them is more just about hoping that you've left office by the time the whole thing collapses again.
