So far we've learned that oranges abuses his buttons, can't act right in ahelps, and says he attempts to antagonize everyone on discord, an attitude which I see very often from him. Why do we think giving him admin is healthy for the server, those who play on it, and the community as a whole?

And before someone says that stuff is a long time ago: 6-8 months isn't a very long time and he's exhibited plenty of the same attitude since then.

In seriousness I really enjoy oranges, I think he's funny and quite a ton of fun to be around. HOWEVER I don't think his attitude fits being an admin, and also being shoved to straight trial with so much admin resistance like I see in this thread makes me skeptical of the choice to do that.

i don't actually know how oranges would/will do as an admin but candidating someone who has done dumb shit in the past is pretty fucking lame, especially when another candidate got the boot for doing less

if we're going off of past behaviour then i don't expect much but i'd love to be proven wrong

it's still unbelievable how we keep finding ways to make the admin team look like a joke, though, from accepting hut posts in appeals to candidating people who have consistently acted in poor faith

again though i'd love to be proven wrong and my issues are mainly with the administration team than with oranges himself

I don't really care about oranges getting trial or repukan being unbanned but the process through which these events happened is absolutely brain dead stupid and i just want to impress upon the two people reading this post that this is like the one thing that i actually feel strongly about and it would be really nice if there was at least some attempt to communicate to god forbid, at least the other admins, why these decisions keep happening contrary to previous precedents

there is a method to the madness involving repukan, not communicated well at all to the admin team but it is there, and as for oranges, I simply ignore drama/code drama since none of it sticks past a few weeks and is e-drama anyway. I know that some people have concerns and don't like him but I also know that he has been quite helpful and dependable on important things for a few years now.

General discussions about the fact this person got admin should ideally go into policy, or a message to headmins, or the promoting headmin's(ausops) feedback thread. Detailing actual individual things that make somebody unsuited to be admin are only simi-relevant to a feedback thread but would be allowed while remaining on the topic of the actual admin.

That being said! I would prefer you focus on their conduct as an admin now, rather than the action of them getting promoted.

Think: "Is what i'm about to post something that this admin could use to either improve themselves or reinforce good behavior" The stronger the yes, the better the post.

This sounds like the exchange I remember. It seems to come up often enough that it sounded like honest endorsement of ban evasion. As he says, he's very fond of mocking administration so encouragement of ban evasion does not fall far from that. Of course, there's room for plausible deniability by saying "It was just a joke/meme." I'm not psychic. In any case, I would certainly hope that "ironic" suggestions that players ban evade does not persist further.
