Got banned? Don't wanna log in to Byond to get the reason why? Well now you don't have to, thanks to the awesome power of
B A N B U S ™
Log in with your forum account (that's been linked to your byond account) and behold all bans in the database, attached to your ckey! Banbus even includes the appeal form, pre-filled with all the relevant information*.

Stay tuned for more updates as additional functionality is migrated from statbuses rapidly decaying carcass** added. Be on the look out for your tickets and notes to be available here soon!

* Banbus does not guarantee appeal success and in fact does not endorse ban appeals. Stay gone.
**Seriously though Statbuses code is a hot mess and it neds to be rebuilt

I migrated Statbus' ticket functionality to Banbus. You can find your tickets at https://atlantaned.space/banbus/mytickets

It's a little rough around the edges right now, but I'll be working to fix that over the next week. Unfortunately, the ability to mark tickets as public hasn't been migrated, but it's coming. I'll put code in place to make sure that previously publicized tickets are still accessible :)

It's been a busy month for Banbus! So busy that it's just Atlanta Ned Dot Space now, barring a better name. I'm undertaking a slow, but thoughtful process to rebuild Statbus, focusing on administration related issues first (bans, tickets, notes/messages).

Unfortunately, the work that I'm REALLY excited about is happening in the admin-only TGDB section. We now have a live* feed of tickets from the server as they happen, so admins can monitor the situation without having to be in-game all the time.

* Every 10 seconds

There's also a dark mode now and it looks soooooo good. Keep an eye on the changelog to stay abreast of any new features

What the fuck is going on with Statbus?

There's been some confusion, so I wanted to put down some words about it in one place.

Statbus is the project living at sb.atlantaned.space. This codebase is very old and outdated, and no longer receiving regular updates.

Nu Statbus is the project living at atlantaned.space. This codebase is much newer and is being actively worked on. Functionality from Statbus is being migrated piece by piece, with a focus on administrative functions first (e.g. bans, tickets, notes & messages) first. As these modules are implemented on Nu Statbus, I'll be disabling them on Statbus and adding redirects to the modules on Nu Statbus.

Module list: (entries in RED are on Statbus, entries in GREEN have been migrated to Nu Statbus)
Rounds
Deaths
Stats (WIP)
Library
Art Gallery
Polls
Tickets
Public Tickets
Notes & Messages
Bans
Admin Activity (WIP)

Just some housekeeping updates:

I've figured out what I want to do in terms of what we're calling things:

Legacy Statbus is the old statbus at sb.atlantaned.space.
Statbus is the new statbus at atlantaned.space

There's a lot more detail in this note.

I also finally put together a todo list as well.

And last but not least, if you feel compelled to support this project, I set up a Patreon for Statbus.

I've been working on a new round listing page and I've posted the mostly final draft at https://atlantaned.space/rounds
Let me know if you have any questions or comments about stuff that's missing/you'd like to see added.

Kinda idea guysing here but it'd be really nice if you could add some form of TD/maptick graphs in the same form as player count for each round. Might be better to display them on a separate page, or in a drop down, and maybe this is kinda off scope for your userbase, but easy visual on that sort of thing would make gauging how a round went in terms of performance a lot easier. As it is I need to download the log file and run it through my own script, and I think I'm the only one who does that

I should add that Statbus has been quiet for a few days now while I work on the art gallery. I’m re-implementing voting, but it’s being done via a fancy javascript application this time around. I can’t wait to show it off.

The new (very WIP) gallery is live at https://atlantaned.space/gallery
You need to be authenticated before you can rate art. DM or @ me on discord with issues.
Still using the same votes/ratings from Legacy Statbus \o/

How does it know the ckey of some of them? An artwork I submitted into persistence that somebody else made has somebody else's ckey on it. Which is good, if it's the actual artist.

presuming it uses the same way as it is stored, then the ckey is determined in-game by who put it on the wall i believe.

this does mean that someone can steal art i think, yes

Dealing with a little issue that's causing some downtime. Apologies for any issues.

EDIT: The problem has been identified and resolved. The responsible parties have been mercilessly mocked on Discord.

I have the library updates ready to roll out, just waiting on MSO for some TG-side DB changes.

The Library has returned! New in this version is a method to report books from statbus. If you find a book that's wildly inappropriate, or just plain sucks, scroll aaaaaall the way down to the bottom of the page and hit that big blue report book button (after filling in a reason). You do ned to be authenticated in order to report books.

There's still some kinks to be worked out, especially with regards to styling. It's also still missing search functionality, but I'll add that in the next day or so*

*This is a lie. It will not be done for months because I will forget about it.

TIMESTAMPS ARE FINALLY FUCKIN FIXED
Everything in TG operates on UTC, including statbus. Unfortunately the library I use to create the fancy relative timestamps wasn't applying UTC correctly, so you'd wind up with relative timestamps like "four hours from now" for something that just happened. This has now been fixed.

I also added support for automatically creating BBcode versions of your tickets. So now it's even easier than before to post your dunking on admins.
Here's what it looks like:

Many many updates since we last spoke, the most important of which is Discord Authentication. With the forums still down as an OAuth source, I've updated Statbus to authenticate against our list of verified Discord IDs.

I've also (re)launched BadgeR (Badge Renderer) at https://badger.atlantaned.space/

I've finally updated the forum auth to use the new OAuth functionality MSO built and upped the version to 0.14.0

Is the art gallery on the new statbus broken for anyone else, or is it just me? It isn't sorted by gallery (public, secure, private etc.) and none of the images load.

The game's gallery code was recently rebuilt and I haven't gotten around to rewriting that part of Statbus to work with the new system.

I broke my deployment process for Statbus. Consequently, I’m taking the opportunity to rebuild the server. Expect downtime for all *.atlantaned.space properties this evening.
