Your side of the story: Start the round, rolling purely for AI and have a few other low-stress rolls ticked. Of course I'm headrev Cargo Tech. So whatever. Might as well try. Shift-click the other Cargo person to check if they're not QM. Don't ask me how, but I still try to flash them even though they're QM. I promptly run into maint, and decide 'fuck it'. I ask for prayers in OOC and decide to passs off my head-rev-ness the way admins will often do. Before I get another taker, I type suicide. Yeah, one guess what happened then.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I wasn't aware Rev scaled down and that the entire round hinged on my vital signs. I didn't do anything that isn't regular admin behavior. I set the next round as Rev to atone so everyone still got one single Rev, and no antags were 'cheated' of their rounds aside from myself. I guess you could say a Head was cheated of the chance to be mobbed and griefed. At no point was it my intent to grief another person, and nobody was harmed by my actions but my own pride. If the round hadn't ended in that moment this would have gone completely unremarked.

Banning an admin for not adminhelping before doing something is absurd. It's also against the rules to kill people if you're not an antag but we don't ban admins for hitting the meteor button.

Here's the real kicker, although it's not technically the subject of this thread. I feel like leaving it out would be disingenuous. I was mad at Tsar. So I pulled off the ban and the note on myself. Stp pointed out I was being a fag and reapplied them. If the Headmins feel that deserves action, well. They've been made aware of it.

If you were the only headrev, then you didn't inconvenience anyone but yourself by suiciding.

Fiddling with your own ban never seems like a good idea though.

No one sane honestly believes these kind of bans are required and I'm starting to think we might need to bring out the old "Don't seriously ban other admins" rule.

People used to get deadminned for that shit and for good reason. It fucks up relationships between the admins which makes working hard and is generally a shitty thing to do. You wouldn't fire your co-worker and personally escort them out of the building if they made a mistake in your presence. It's ridiculous.
