In the tileset i tried not only did everything look like shit, the enemies often easily blend into the background and i wouldnt notice them, proceeding to move quite quickly in a given direction and get my shit ruined

Fucking RIP

This city im in (the one with craters) is mostly deserted, so Ive started building a deathcar. Ive got supplies coming out the ass, and more MRE's then I can handle. The police station also had sweet loot, and now ive got swat armor. Next steps include: Fortify the house im in, read a bunch of books, find other survivors with my radio.

I think they spawn these eyeball douchebags who can radiate you/ royally fuck you up just by looking at you, but i am not sure if that is the case anymore. I also think i may be the luckiest man in the goddamn world. Was sprinting away from a horde, not really paying attention to my surroundings. Next thing i know zombies start blowing up behind me, and i look at the text logs only to see that i ran right through i minefield on a diagonal, my character had seen every mine but i had not noticed, and i had somehow run a safe straight line through it.

Shimmering portals don't do anything in terms of transporting you somewhere.

They are a spawn point for some really nasty shit though.

None of it is a replica

They have pretty robust stats, one of the swords has bash of 15 and cut of 40 (this is good right?)

For reference, most improvised early game weapons have a total damage around 10-15, with better ones in the high 20s. I assume that your 55 dmg monstrosity is the zwiehander. It is german for two hander, but is generally associated with fuckhuge blades larger than a man and nearly impossible to wield. If you ever played dark souls you likely know how awesome it is.

Shocker anything pretty much fucking sucks. If you have no ranged capabilities you have no choice but to run the fuck away. Otherwise you get a nice zap every time you hit them. Although the gun nut basement hopefully gave you something you can use to shoot him in the face. The game has a lot of neat sorta futuristic guns made by a company called rivtech that all use special proprietary caseless ammunition. I always either find the guns or the ammo, never both.

Shotguns are pretty nice as a panic button, though you'll want something with some armor piercing if you run into like, a Hulk or something. Well, excepting for the fact that they're usually really big.

Mod the fuck out of the shotgun and locknload. If you are planning on using that house as a base then run up there guns blazing and hope they run out of bodies before you run out of ammo. Be sure to smush all the corpses after you kill them, or they will be coming back. Also be sure to butcher all shocker type zombies, as they can sometimes yield CBMs. If you have wandering spawns enabled then there is no hope for that base, take what you can and run far away.

Now I just need scarce ammo for it...

In other news, I raided a military bunker and got a ton of turrets, and manhacks. Next stop, the lab!
I found out that hitting a zombie at high speeds in a vehicle actually makes you swerve and spin out if not careful. Almost ran headfirst into a forest with that one.

One last thing. Living in a town that is filled with craters is by far the best choice to make, I have a Geiger meter to make sure the rads are low, but basically nothing is alive because it was killed off when the bombs dropped on it, 10/10 would recommend

I am currently living with these chucklefucks in the least secure place on the planet. We are sandwiched between a FEMA camp and a bigass city. I do odd jobs for them and crash in their previously zombie infested back room. Not a bad arrangement.

Better off knowning Judo and Ninjutsu for maximum SAMURAI JACK ACTION. Insta recover and Melee +, I remade a world because I ran out of ammo in the middle of a mob and got gang banged no matter how hard I scum saved. What's a good number for skill point / trait limit? I Normally do 75 skill point and 10 trait similar to Baulders Gate new character screen.

read this thread made me re download the newest version and damn I'm having a shit poor time. I've died like right of the bat four times because as soon as I step out of the shelter there are triffids, shambling antler monster, coyotes right outside. The fifth world I finally made it to a cabin in the woods and caught the common cold and eventually died because it kept thunder storming for like 3 days and I was cold

Go with being a mall cop and loot the mall, just keep running around objects and closing doors. I managed to get a good amount of swag before fleeing with less than 50% health

Yeah, 75 points will get you a better statline than Zeus himself, all the good positive traits and level 6 in all skills. Not bad if you just wanna fuck around but it gets old fast. For an easier build 12 points will make you a very competent character

rolled mall cop a few times still died right off the bat, but in this current world I finally killed off the main group of zombies following me by kiting them and whipping the fuck out of them with a bull whip, it's amazing.
