Of all the tests this one is the most retarded by far. AI removal had a decent support base, and even removing silicon policy wasn't this unpopular.

Playing AI with these changes especially without a nearby intercom (looking at you metastation) is frustration incarnate because you can't scream out OBVIOUS DANGER, IM SHUTTING THAT DOOR DOWN, DONT YOU DARE!! over comms anymore.

I've really not been enjoying this change, but I do think it was worthwhile to actually test.

Please bring common back, feels desolate and does not encourage interaction outside of departments at all.

Game has become more boring as a whole.

Why would I veto a test? I'd rather test bad ideas briefly (if for no other reason than to prove they are bad) than be afraid of change and be stuck in the same rut forever.

Nor do I actually have "veto" power, it's a 3 way vote.

If these tests were only for a day or two, I'd be all for them. My issue is that HG shoves them down our throats for well beyond the original week in an effort to force us to accept them even though they're obvious failures. These tests are NEVER brief.

i think we should make changes with our aim having two priorities.

1: make the game more fun for the maximum amount of people. this is the primary goal.
2: make things more balanced. this is the secondary goal, and should not be prioritized over the first.

this change sacrifices the first goal for the second one. as such, i am against it.

Have you even played on the server since the test was implemented. It has been universally reviled, the station feels dead, everybody hates it. Are you willfully ignoring the playerbase's sentiments?

Edit: And unless 17+ people are waiting to vote, you point is invalid. Of 20 or so votes, only three people agree with HG's implementation. The test is absolute AIDS. Admit it.

On a related note, I've played for a while with no common channel, and I cannot tell the difference between highpop and lowpop. This is a horrible thing.

If your goal is to make the game have a more paranoia laden feel then look to games like 'The Ship' or 'Lifeweb' and see how they accomplish this goal.

I personally don't disagree with this method of testing, at least now. Mainly due to it being the only feasible way to really test something.

The alternative is people getting into a flame war over their personal interpretations on how a change is going to be anything from negligible to something that'll kill the server.

Forcing a in game test like this is the only real way to see how a change is going to go.

The only difference here is that we already tried out this change, and it didn't go well.

I honestly can get behind this sentiment(even though I never found time to participate myself). Sometimes one needs an object lesson on why an idea is retarded, even if it's been screamed that it's bad already.
